The Unit will provide candidates with information about the basic structure and elements ia a
computer system, The candidate will indentify the basic structure and characteristics of a computer system, define backing storage types and differen storing methods. The contents of the Unit also include the installation of software application packages. Candidates will also develop an understanding of operating systems and different types of peripherals. The Candidates will be introduced to safety procedures necessary when installing computer hardware. This unit is suitable for a wide range of candiates who want to learn about computer hardware and systems.
